February through April are Dragon Scales months! (all ages)
How long can we make our dragon? We have the head and tail of a dragon to put on the wall, but we need dragon scales! For every book that you read ask for a dragon scale, write the name of the book on the scale and let’s see if we can make the dragon stretch all the way around the Youth Department! The more books you read, the longer the dragon becomes.

NEW Early Literacy Station (ELS)
As you walk into the Youth Department you will notice a new computer station with a colored keyboard. That is our brand-new Early Literacy Station for ages 2 - 10.
The Early Literacy Station™ (ELS) includes 50 educational games and
software programs spanning seven curricular areas. The ELS makes
learning fun, which makes learning effective.
Currently, there is a 30 minute time limit; but if nobody is waiting, you may stay for another 30 minutes. Try it! Sit down and have fun!

TumbleBookLibrary
Updated: TumbleBook Library is an online collection of animated, talking picture books as well as longer chapter books. The books are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing print books in order to produce an electronic version which you can read, or have read to you. TumbleBook Library now has a ‘New Book’ section. Games and puzzles linked to a book are now available at the same page where you read the book, so no more extra mouse-clicking needed! And over the next few months non-fiction books will be added to the database. So there is a lot to look at – use the link below to get there!
