Learn about Ukrainian egg decorating, or pysanky, and even try your hand at it. The first half of this workshop will talk about the history of this craft and explain the how-to. The second half you can try your hand at decorating an egg. Space will be limited so register early!

Animal Chiropractic - Maximizing your Pet’s Potential

Dr. Patrick Glidden is a veterinarian certified in Animal Chiropractic through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. He will be presenting a talk on how to use chiropractic medicine as both an alternative as well as a compliment to traditional veterinary care. He will cover some basic chiropractic principals and how this drug free approach could improve the quality of life for both healthy and arthritic pets.

Alberta Adams, Queen of Blues

Alberta Adams has long been Detroit’s undisputed Queen of Blues. Born, July 26, 1917, she celebrated her 94th birthday in 2011. Ms. Adams has toured with T-Bone Walker, Louis Jordan, Cleanhead Vinson, and has performed at the famous Apollo Theater with Dizzy Gillespie. She is backed by the RJ Spangler Trio with Larry Smith on alto sax, a true jazz master. This performance is made possible-in-part, by the generous support of the Jazz Foundation of America.

Michiwinds Chamber Ensemble

The Michiwinds Chamber Ensemble (Kim J. Teal, flute; Christy Dodge, flute; Don Davenport, clarinet; and JoAnn Royce, clarinet) will be playing classical selections, with additional members from the Belle Valley Community Band (oboe, clarinets, horns, tenor saxophone and euphonium).

James Bach & Dana Bradshaw: Classical Guitar Duo

Enjoy the tranquil sounds of classical guitar, performed by James Bach and Dana Bradshaw, both of Lapeer. The duo will be playing timeless pieces from the Classical, Romantic, and Baroque periods. Both performers are students in U of M Flint’s music program. Please join us in welcoming them to the Gardenside Stage!
